Pokémon Emerald Rush Edition

The goal of this romhack is to speed up gameplay while keeping the core mechanics as vanilla as possible. Improvement hacks tend to introduce big changes like new pokemon, physical/special split, new npcs, and major rebalancing. This hack doesn’t do any of that. It gives you a pure Emerald experience, while speeding up the gameplay. This hack is mainly used to speed up gameplay on flashcarts because they are unable to fast forward. However, you will still have a great experience playing it on an emulator!

This Romhack works with emulators, everdrive, EZ flash, and can also be flashed to a board with no issues at all. Previously existing saves may or not work. Your mileage may very.

Speed ups:

• Text Speed is instant
• Battle animations disabled
• Overworld HM animation disabled
• Running allowed indoors (You must still talk to your mom to get the running shoes)
• Faster underwater surfing (twice as fast now)
• Disabled PokeNav Calls (Story related calls still happen)
• Slightly faster battle start
• Slightly faster fainting animation
• Faster Saving - Extra save confirmation removed

Gameplay Changes:

• Prompt to reuse repels implemented

• RNG is fixed allowing you to hunt for Shiny Pokémon the same way you would hunt in Ruby and Sapphire. Odds are still 1/8192, but you no longer have to hit a shiny frame. Works for legends too!

• Annoying low health beeps in battle reduced to 3

• Trade restrictions lifted. You can trade to other games without beating the elite 4
