About this hack

Have you ever played Pokémon White or Black 2 and found yourself thinking:

"Wow, this game is fun and all, but I wish all of my Pokémon were considerably worse?"

If so: today is your lucky day! Introducing 'Pokémon Wishy-Washy White'. This is a Trashlocke of Pokémon White 2 inspired by PokemonChallenges' Emerald Trashlocke. Meaning the enemy trainers are (mostly) the same as the base game, but the tools you get to deal with them are considerably worse!

Main Features:
  • The starters are now Slugma, Paras and Clamperl, with Clamperl now evolving by levelling up while holding the Prism Scale (Gorebyss by day, Huntail by night).

  • Every encounter has been changed to the worst Pokémon available in the national dex, starting with the worst of the worst, gradually trending towards merely 'a bit underwhelming'. Full list in the documentation

  • All Gym leaders, E4 and the Champion have the extra Pokémon, moves and items from their challenge teams (the levels are vanilla). In case it's unclear, you can find the teams in the documentation

  • Defeated Pokémon no longer give EVs.

Minor Rebalances and QOL
  • Pokéstar studios now optional. Simply proceed to the docks after Roxie. Join Avenue also skipped.
  • Need for grinding removed. Rare candies in all shops. Gems & Shards in Driftveil.
  • TM for Work up replaced by Psych Up. TM for Return and False Swipe swapped. Removed Pokédex requirement.
  • All otherwise unavailable TM added to Nimbasa/Shopping Mall/E4, depending on strength of the move. Set-up TMs excluded.
  • Multiple small learnset changes for early game encounters to make pre-Castelia more consistent. Only levels are changed to before Cheren/Roxie, no new moves are added to learnsets. HM moves in learnsets replaced with move of equivalent power.
  • Virbank Complex, Reversal Mountain, Giant Chasm and Victory Road have been split into two areas.
  • Pokémon that can have a held item now have a much higher chance of holding it. Thick Club removed from Marowak.

For specifics about these changes see the pokecommunity page

The rest of the game is unchanged, in order to give a vanilla-like experience. I hope you enjoy!
